Secure Haven offer a traditional burial option for families wishing for a church or chapel service, followed by interment in either a churchyard or cemetery, in a new or existing family grave.
With years of experience, Secure Haven Funeral Directors have tailored our traditional burial service to suit every family’s requirements. With financial transparency a priority, we state all prices at the very start of making the arrangements.
Our Traditional Burial Service package includes the following:
- Removal from home, care home, hospice or hospital during office hours, within a 20 miles radius of our Broomfield, Chelmsford premises.
- Dressing and preparation of your loved one.
- Private viewing in our Chapel of Rest, during office hours.
- Provision of a quality veneer coffin.
- Service to be held at a church or chapel within 20 miles of our premises.
- Motor hearse and bearers.
- On-line obituary and donations.

A doctor’s fee of £82 is not included and will be applied, if necessary.
If you choose this package, please be aware that it does not include Exclusive Rights of Burial, if applicable, interment fees, or church/chapel or cemetery fees, as these vary depending on location and requirements.
Once the burial of your loved one has taken place, you have the option to apply for permission for a memorial headstone, which will be installed at a later date.
Please inform us if your loved one is heavier than 17 stone or over 6’6″ in height as we will need to provide extra staff for safe and dignified transfer into our care. An additional fee of £390 will be applied for a specially-ordered coffin and additional bearing staff.
Payment terms – We require a 50% deposit on arrangement, with the balance of payment within a minimum of 2 working days prior to the funeral service.
